Dave Komendat brings over 39 years of diversified executive leadership experience in complex global and geo-political high-risk environments. His career includes overseeing global security, site security, executive protection, supply chain and aviation security, and crisis management, most notably as Vice President & Chief Security Officer for The Boeing Company. He has also led several non-profit organizations, served as Private Sector Co-Chair for DSAC, and was a strategic engagement advisor to the FBI, which awarded him the Director’s Award for Exceptional Public Service. He is a graduate of the Executive Leadership Program at the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University and holds a Bachelor of Science in Criminal Justice from California State University at Long Beach.

Frank Patercity

Frank Patercity is a Director for Control Risks’ Crisis and Security Consulting team with over 25 years of experience across military, law enforcement, and corporate security. A former U.S. Marine and decorated police officer, Frank specializes in threat assessment, executive protection, and active assailant prevention. He previously served as Director of Corporate Security for a Fortune 25 retailer, where he managed a threat program for 425,000 employees. A Certified Protection Professional (CPP) and member of ATAP, Frank holds a BA from the Indiana University of Pennsylvania.

Harshit Shah is the Chief Technology Officer at LVT. A proven engineering and product leader, Harshit brings extensive experience in scaling technical teams quickly and has achieved success in evolving companies from a single product to a diverse, multi-product portfolio. Harshit comes to LVT after serving as the CTO at Kyruus Health, and has extensive leadership experience at Microsoft and AWS. Jack Carr

Former Navy SEAL, #1 New York Times Bestselling Author
Jack Carr is a former Navy SEAL who led special operations teams as a team leader, platoon commander, troop commander, and task unit commander.

With over 25 years of experience in information technology, Tollerson oversees regulatory compliance and manages enterprise IT projects vital to operational continuity and national security. As Senior Insider Threat lead, he directs a cross-functional team focused on mitigating insider risk and strengthening organizational resilience. Kenneth Senser

Former Senior Vice President at Walmart and Chief Strategy Officer—Corporate Security Advisors
Ken Senser is a subject matter expert with over 40 years of experience in global security program governance, incident response, and crisis management. For more than 15 years, he served as Senior Vice President at Walmart, leading global programs in security, investigations, and corporate aviation. Prior to that, he had a distinguished federal career, starting with the CIA and later being detailed to the FBI as the Assistant Director of the Security Division, where he transformed their security program post-Hanssen espionage case. Jonny Moseley

Olympic Gold Medalist—USA Moguls
Jonny Moseley was named one of the top 10 most influential skiers of all time by Ski Magazine thanks to his innovative tricks and techniques in freestyle skiing. His celebrated career includes winning a gold medal in the moguls competition at the 1998 Olympics in Nagano, Japan, securing the World Cup title that same year, and becoming the first person to win a medal in both the Olympics and X-Games (silver in 1999). Off the slopes, Jonny transitioned into a highly successful television career. He hosted Saturday Night Live in 2002 and was a familiar face on reality television, hosting multiple seasons of MTV’s The Challenge and NBC's American Ninja Warrior. Mary Rose McCaffrey is a security expert with over 30 years in government and private industry. She served as Vice President of Security at Northrop Grumman, where she built world-class security and crisis management programs. Previously, she was the CIA’s first female Director of Security, holding senior roles across the intelligence community, DoD, and NRO. She is a recognized leader in national security and industry collaboration.

Dr. Michael Whittington

Professor, Criminal Justice and Homeland Security – Columbia Southern University
Dr. Michael "Myke" Whittington, joined Columbia Southern University (CSU) in 2021 and teaches in the criminal justice and homeland security programs. He earned his Doctorate in Criminal Justice and Homeland Security from Liberty University. Dr. Whittington's law enforcement background includes serving as a Supervising Criminal Investigator in a California District Attorney’s Office and as a police detective at the San Jose Police Department. Mike Lamb

Mike Lamb is a distinguished leader and innovator in loss prevention and asset protection, with over 40 years of experience. He has held the position of Vice President of Asset Protection at large companies such as The Home Depot, Walmart, and Kroger. Since 2000, Mike has been a dedicated supporter and collaborator of the Loss Prevention Research Council (LPRC), contributing his extensive knowledge, energy, and leadership.

Dr. Nathaniel "Mike" Perry Jr.

Dr. Nathaniel "Mike" Perry Jr., is an Assistant Provost, and founding Dean of the College of Space, Intelligence, and Military Operations at Columbia Southern University (CSU). He has more than 31 years of distinguished service in the U.S. Air Force, where he served as the Air Force First Sergeant Special Duty Manager. In this critical national role, he was the principal advisor to the Secretary of the Air Force and the Air Force Chief of Staff, responsible for the strategic oversight and professional development of over 2,900 first sergeants supporting global missions.

Ryan Porter

Co-Founder and Chief Executive Officer—LVT
Ryan Porter co-founded LVT in 2005 and currently serves as CEO. Under his leadership, the company has grown from a small startup into a leading provider of mobile surveillance and security technology, serving customers across retail, law enforcement, government, critical infrastructure, and construction. Ryan began his career in finance before identifying a need for remote surveillance on construction sites, which inspired the creation of LVT. Steve Jensen

Steve Jensen is a senior program manager with over two decades of experience in law enforcement and public safety. His extensive career includes his role as a Special Agent with the Utah Attorney General's Office, where he advocates for businesses and enforces criminal laws against organized crime across the state. He previously served as a detective for the Taylorsville Police Department and spent over 15 years with the West Valley Police Department. Currently, he is the Chair of the Board of Directors for the Utah Organized Retail Crime Association.

Steve Lindsey

Co-Founder and Chief Strategist—LVT
Steve Lindsey was instrumental in designing, forming, and implementing the LVT Platform, the company’s video and IoT management system. Lindsey joined LVT in 2011 after leading technology, software, engineering, and development teams at multiple companies including i3 Technologies and Novell. He holds a bachelor’s degree in electronic and information technology from Brigham Young University. Outside of all things tech, Lindsey loves mountain biking, music, food, sports, and especially his family. He and his wife Wendy have seven children and live in Utah County.

Terry Phillips

VP, Security—Northrop Grumman
Terry W. Phillips is the Vice President of Security for Northrop Grumman, with extensive experience protecting advanced weapon systems and technologies. As Executive Director of the OSI Office of Special Projects, he serves as the Special Access Program Security Director for the U.S. Air Force and Space Force, leading 427 personnel across 41 global field offices.

With a career spanning military and civil service, Phillips has held multiple high-level leadership roles, including Director of Counterintelligence for U.S. European Command and U.S. Representative to NATO. He has managed complex security operations for TRANSCOM, CENTCOM, and SOCOM, and led critical contingency efforts as a Special Agent in Charge in Iraq. He holds a commission from Auburn University.

General William J. Walker

Chief Security Officer—Allied Universal and Former Sergeant at Arms, U.S. House of Representatives
William J. Walker is the Chief Security Officer for Allied Universal, bringing over 30 years of expertise in security, law enforcement, and military leadership. He was previously a Special Agent of the Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) and served as the 38th Sergeant at Arms of the U.S. House of Representatives. Mr. Walker is also a retired U.S. Army Major General who commanded the District of Columbia National Guard. This combination of experience provides him with a unique perspective on enterprise risk management, intelligence, and large-scale strategies.

  • What is the Safety and Security Summit?

    The Safety and Security Summit is the premier Safety and Security Event of 2026 where you can expect:

  • What does the registration fee cover?

    The registration fee covers all sessions, meals, and activities associated with the Summit, including a ski/snowboarding pass or spa treatment.

  • Can I transfer or cancel my registration?

    You may cancel or transfer your registration up to 30 days prior to the event start date of February 23, 2026.

  • What is the cancellation policy?

    A full refund will be granted to those who cancel no later than January 23, 2026.

  • What are the arrival and departure dates for the summit?

    The arrival date is Monday, February 23, 2026, and the departure date is Friday, February 27, 2026. However, you are welcome to forego participating in the planned winter activities and leave anytime after 5pm on Wednesday, February 25, 2026.

  • Where is the event being held?

    This event is being held at the Snowbird Ski Resort Cliff Lodge located in the Wasatch Mountains.

  • What will the weather be like?

    The base of elevation of Snowbird is around 8,000 ft, so expect winter conditions if you're venturing outside. The average high temperature is 32° F, and lows are typically in the teens.

  • What is the dress code for this event?

    We are in the mountains, so business casual, or “mountain chic”. No suits and ties.

  • Where will the Summit attendees be staying?

    Attendees will be staying at the Cliff Lodge located at: 9320 S. Cliff Lodge Drive, Entry 4, Snowbird, UT 84092

  • What dates are included for hotel accommodations?

    We are only covering the nights of February 23 to February 26. Check out will be February 27. Attendees are responsible for their own lodging before or after those dates.

  • What is the room rate per night

    The room rate is $496 per night for a Cliff Lodge - Bedroom (QN/QN). If purchasing the All Inclusive Pass or Full Agenda Pass, your room rate is covered.

  • What if I need to pay for my own lodging?

    If you need to pay for your room at The Cliff Lodge, you will be able to provide a credit card to the front desk upon checking in.  

  • What is the resort fee?

    If purchasing the All Inclusive Pass or Full Agenda Pass, your resort fee is covered. If you haven’t purchased one of these passes, then a $25 per room per night resort fee will be added to guest room charges.

  • What does the resort fee include?

    It includes high-speed wireless internet, self-parking, use of designated pools, hot tubs, fitness rooms, robes (Cliff Lodge East Wing), laundry facilities, in-room coffee, digital USA Today, 800-number phone calls, 15 minutes daily computer use in the business center, overnight ski/snowboard storage, private lockers at Cliff Lodge, and UTA bus service between Snowbird and Alta.

  • When is the lodging reservation due date for guests?

    Lodging room reservations should be received no later than Friday, January 23, 2026.

  • What airport should I fly into?

    Salt Lake City International Airport.

  • Is airport transportation available?

    Yes.

  • How is transport from the airport being facilitated?

    Guests are responsible for booking transportation between the airport and Snowbird. Airport shuttles can be arranged through Snowbird Central Reservations at 1-800-453-3000 at least 48 hours prior to arrival. You may also arrange transportation from/to the airport by contacting one of the following:

  • What is the cost for airport transportation?

    The cost varies anywhere from $50–$350, depending on your selection.

  • Where is Snowbird?

    Snowbird is located 6 miles up Little Cottonwood Canyon off of SR-210. Though it's typically a quick drive from Salt Lake City, visitors may experience delays due to road conditions, particularly on holidays, weekends, and powder days. To ensure you're prepared, we’ve outlined some tips and tricks to make getting here as simple as possible.

  • Is there parking available?

    Snowbird offers a variety of ways to park and enjoy the mountain, however, parking may be more challenging during peak ski season which it is during the LVT Summit. Please be aware that chains or 4 wheel drive are required to drive up the canyon during inclement weather. It is recommended that you take a shuttle from the airport rather than a rental car.   • What activities are being offered during the LVT Summit?

    LVT is providing Summit attendees the opportunity to select from skiing, snowboarding, snowshoeing, or a spa treatment. The activity day is scheduled for Thursday, February 26. 

  • What if I want to change the activity I previously selected?

    To make changes to your activity selection, please contact Terann Wagner at terann.wagner@lvt.com prior to the conference. If you need to make changes once onsite, please visit the Guest Services Desk located in the Ballroom Lobby.

  • I selected a spa treatment for my activity, how do I schedule my treatment?

    Spa treatments must be scheduled prior to the conference to ensure appropriate staffing is in place. Treatments can be scheduled throughout the event as long as they don’t conflict with conference sessions. To schedule the spa treatment through the LVT block, click here.  

  • Is there a discount for Cliff Spa access?

    Group overnight guests registered within the LVT room block receive 25% off the standard access fee Monday–Friday. If you selected a spa treatment as your activity, LVT will provide a $200 credit to be used towards any spa treatment during the conference outside of sessions. Spa treatments need to be scheduled prior to arriving at the conference.

  • What does Cliff Spa access include?

    Use of the rooftop pool and hot tub, fitness center, eucalyptus steam room, dry sauna, solarium, salon, and sundries. For further information on the Cliff Spa treatments click here

  • I selected skiing or snowboarding for my activity and I will require rentals, how do I get my rentals?

    LVT will pay for rental equipment with the exception of demo equipment. Please click here for further information on rental equipment options and how to pick up your equipment.

  • I selected snowshoeing as my activity, what are the details surrounding snowshoeing?

    LVT has made all of the arrangements for our guests who will be snowshoeing.

  • What is the recommended clothing for outdoor activities?

    Layering is KeyTo stay comfortable in the changing mountain environment, we recommend a three-layer system:

    • Base Layer: Thermal tops and bottoms (Merino wool or synthetics) to wick away sweat.
    • Mid Layer: Fleece jackets, sweaters, or hoodies to trap body heat.
    • Outer Layer: Waterproof and windproof ski jacket and pants to block snow and wind. Look for taped or sealed seams for maximum protection.
  • What accessories are essential for the mountain?

    Don't forget these key items to protect your extremities from the elements:

    • Head & Neck: A warm hat, neck gaiter, and a thin balaclava for under your helmet.
    • Hands: High-quality waterproof gloves or mittens (mittens generally provide more warmth).
    • Feet: One or two pairs of dedicated wool ski socks and sturdy waterproof boots for walking around the resort.
  • Are there any specific packing tips for Snowbird’s climate?

    Snowbird is known for heavy snowfall and high altitudes. Keep these tips in mind while packing:

    • Prioritize Waterproofing: Because of the high moisture levels, waterproof outerwear is non-negotiable.
    • Choose Tech Fabrics: Opt for modern technical fabrics over cotton; they are lighter, warmer, and much more breathable.
    • Stay Versatile: Pack layers that are easy to add or remove as you transition between the heated lodge and the outdoor summit party.

  • Are there continuing education credits (CEUs) available?

    Yes, LVT has partnered with Columbia Southern University to bring Summit attendees the opportunity to participate in a continuing education session and receive education credit.

  • Will there be opportunities to network with other attendees?

    Yes! There will be plenty of opportunities for attendees to be able to network including evening activities, meals, and round table discussions.

  • How can I connect with speakers or other attendees?

    We will be utilizing an event app during the summit so people can easily connect with speakers or other attendees.

  • Are there any social events or networking sessions?

    There will be social/networking events taking place each day. Please reference the agenda for more detailed information.

  • Is the venue accessible?

    Yes, Snowbird Ski Resort is known for its accessibility, both in terms of its proximity to the airport and its facilities for guests with disabilities.

    Snowbird is located just 29 miles from Salt Lake City International Airport, making it easily reachable. The resort also features accessible parking, restrooms, lodging, and the Aerial Tram.

    Additionally, Snowbird offers adaptive sports programs and has worked with Wasatch Adaptive Sports to provide inclusive recreational opportunities.
