Some of the biggest names in retail use LiveView Technologies to make their property safer for employees and customers and to prevent theft. The visibility of LVT Units is a huge draw for this industry. In fact, with LVT Units on their property, retailers have seen up to a 70% reduction in parking lot incidents.

One of the biggest use cases for LVT Units in the retail industry is to reduce theft and merchandise shrinkage. Even though LVT Units are stationed outside, they help prevent and prosecute theft and crime inside the store, as well as in the parking lot. In fact, one retailer had a woman commit fraud by returning stolen items to their store. After they discovered the fraud, the store narrowed in on the time and description of the woman, used the LVT Unit to get high quality images of the woman as she left the store, and forwarded these to the police.

Another retailer who specializes in outdoor equipment put a LVT Unit in their parking lot and was able to prevent a theft that same day. Thieves were attempting to steal navigation systems from some boats when they triggered the LVT Unit. The client received a notification of the alert, was able to notify the police, and the would-be thieves were arrested. These stories are just two of the hundreds from retailers across the nation who partner with LiveView Technologies.

The beauty of the LVT solution is that it is truly remote. It does not rely on traditional internet or communication links. Instead, it uses solar power and cellular connectivity for completely mobile security. This ensures that no intense installation is needed and still allows for future mobility of the unit.
