Joseph Weight
Quality Specialist
Joseph Weight has been with LiveView Technologies for about eight months. He loves LVT’s product and the opportunities to improve and succeed in his career and as a company. Weight’s position as the Quality Specialist started with him revising, updating, and establishing a system to maintain standard operating procedures for LVT trailers and units. This includes creating training modules in 5S, lean manufacturing, and Training Within Industry. “Moving forward,” Weight said, “I will be building quality relationships with our suppliers to ensure we are getting the highest quality and consistent components for our units.”
Weight is a local to Utah Valley and grew up in Springville, Utah. He graduated from Brigham Young University with a degree in English and a minor in Anthropology. Before coming to LVT, Weight worked down the street at US Synthetic and helped them win the Shingo Prize in 2012.
While not working, Weight enjoys spending time with his wife and three children, two of which are adopted. He also enjoys soccer, golf, bocce ball, and cornhole as well as designing his own board games. Weight is a certified expedition leader for CHOICE Humanitarian, and he has established relationships with The United Way, The Utah STEM Coalition, Days for Girls, and Junior Achievement of Utah. “Ever since I was a cub scout,” he said, “I’ve loved and tried to live by the slogan ‘do a good turn daily.’”
