Brunnthal/Munich, Germany; Orem, USA, June 21 2024 – SFC Energy AG (“SFC”, F3C:DE, ISIN: DE0007568578), a leading provider of hydrogen and methanol fuel cells for stationary, portable and mobile hybrid power solutions, celebrates its official grand opening of US subsidiary SFC Energy LLC in Orem, Utah near the state capital Salt Lake City.
The decision to open a new SFC site in the United States of America – as announced in December 2023 – results from a thoughtful selection process. The long-standing and trusted relationship with SFC partner and deeply respected customer LiveView Technologies, located nearby, as well as the strong demand for clean energy supply based on direct methanol fuel cell technology (DMFC) and hydrogen fuel cell technology, provided a sound entry point. Utah, particularly the greater Salt Lake City area, was selected for its strategic advantage of bringing services and logistics closer to the market and customers, bolstered by its excellent skilled workforce and status as a great logistical hub. SFC Energy LLC integrates sales, customer service, and logistics, setting a foundation for further expansion and organic growth within the US, focusing on the growing US market for clean energy solutions. It will serve a steadily rising number of various types of industrial back-up and off-grid power customers as well as the US defense sector and industry.
